My Quick Takes on 10 Finales, 'Presumed Innocent' Season 2, Grogu Movie Highs, and More
The latest installment of a feature in which I offer 60°F takes on the TV shows I'm watching and the news that's breaking.
As I emerge from the fog of the intense weeks leading up to and including Stephen Colbert's The Late Show series finale....
📺 Surveying the many broadcast-TV finales of the past couple of weeks: Sheriff Country had the most mind-blowing, season-ending reveal; Chicago Fire was pretty clever with those repeated flash-forwards that ratcheted up the tension, while Chicago Med budgeted far too much finale time to Frost and his family; The Rookie fiendishly gave a fan base exactly what they wanted, followed instantly by a jolt of fresh drama; the high-octane, action-packed NCIS: Sydney finale (Mackey leaping out a plane with no parachute of her own, and sooo much UST!) made NCIS' own season ender (McGee's secret son might be keeping a secret?) seem downright quiet; FBI did the best job setting up the star of its next season; and Ghosts successfully left me gasping, "No!" as its season faded to black.
