TCA Awards: 'Widow's Bay,' 'Heated Rivalry,' Colbert Win Big
'Widow's Bay' scares up three wins, while Stephen Colbert's career and the legacy of 'In Living Color' are honored.
Winners for the 42nd annual Television Critics Association (TCA) Awards were announced Thursday morning, and Apple TV's horror-comedy Widow's Bay led the pack with three wins, including for Outstanding New Program.

Stephen Colbert was also a multiple winner of sorts, with CBS' rudely cancelled The Late Show topping the Variety, Talk or Sketch category and the 62-year-old, multitalented entertainer being honored with this year's Career Achievement Award.
Other big winners at the 42nd TCA Awards include the hockey romance Heated Rivalry, which was prestigiously christened Program of the Year (that is, a show that had a major impact on the medium and culture), and the 1990s sketch comedy series In Living Color, which was honored with the annual Heritage Award.
The TCA Awards, as is tradition, precede the Emmys, which this year will be held Monday, Sept. 14, at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE, and aired on NBC.
