As CBS' NCIS uncorked its 24th season opener, it was surprising to discover that Tony DiNozzo had shown up in the alley where Torres confronted McGee's son Mateo, before a gunshot rang out.

But it was arguably more unexpected to see where the former NCIS agent landed by the end of the Season 24 premiere.
